Case: Bloomup
Bloomup lowers the barrier to mental health care, by combining conversations with a professional with a smart app.
Swörl drew more than 50 illustrations for the app, depicting the care offer. We chose a cute little plant (Bloomie), which is very expressive.
Character illustrations
Swörl draws lots of characters. That’s because people who look at images feel empathy with the person they see.
For example, if you look at a character waiting in a train station, you might feel what it was like when you yourself had to wait somewhere.
According to research, we even sympathize with a turtle running a web shop or a smartphone with eyes.
