For each project, we talk about your target audience: who are they, how do they talk, what do they know, how have they reacted to your communications in the past. That helps to create products that inspire or make them think.

Sander is very good at bridging the gap between where your audience is and what you want to tell them. That is not always literally what was in your initial briefing, but what you wanted to achieve.

Standing still is going backwards in a world that reinvents communication every year.

That’s why Swörl spends about 20% of its time working on new styles of illustration and animation. Experiments that might never see the light of day, or might be ready as a demo when you need them for a project. At local events and conferences, Sander checks where the design world wants to go.

We enjoy helping companies like Ecover, Innovatiesteunpunt, Clean Air Lovers, Province of Antwerp and University of Antwerp communicate their solutions to reduce our ecological footprint or improve our society.

Swörl does not engage in greenwashing: companies with green claims that are not entirely accurate sometimes prevent other green initiatives from getting off the ground. Swörl ensures during the research phase of a project that all claims made can be substantiated.

We apply our green ideals to the business:

Transport to meetings by bike or public transport

No paper wastage: digital entrepreneurship

Hardware lasts as long as possible: computers are primary device for 6 years, then secondary device for 2-4 years.

Appliances no longer serving the business go to charity.

The office is well insulated; we keep the heat out via passive cooling without air conditioning.

Office furniture is often second-hand
